El Paso County Board of Commissioners increases park, fairground

The El Paso County Board of Commissioners has approved a 10 percent increase in the park and fairground rental fees, a rental charge for the use of the Nordic Center meeting room at Fox Run Regional Park and an escalating special park event fee for events with more than 500 participants.

A rental charge of $15 per hour (with a two hour minimum) will apply to individuals or nonprofits wanting to use the Nordic Center meeting room at Fox Run. A charge of $23 per hour (with a two hour minimum will be assessed to commercial use of the facility. Commercial events include those conducted by promoters and/or businesses using the facility for ticketed events, merchandise sales, class instruction or other for-profit special events.

Special event fees for individuals or nonprofits with a group of 500 or more people will be $175 plus $50 for each additional 100 people. The fee for a commercial special event of 500 or more people will be $350 plus an additional $50 per 100 people.
