Colorado Dept. of Transportation has funding available for transit

Colorado Springs Business Journal,  Nov 30, 2007

The Colorado Department of Transportation is accepting applications for Federal Transit Administration Section 5304 money, which is dedicated to planning, research, special studies, training and similar activities related to transit.

CDOT has about $288,000 to distribute. Those interested in applying for funding must submit proposals of planned projects that would be initiated during the 2008 calendar year. Only public agencies are allowed to apply, unless a nonprofit organization is a sub-recipient through a public agency.

To obtain an application, or to find out more about the process, visit www.dot.state.co.us/App_Transit/.

The deadline is 5 p.m. Dec. 31.
