Citizen Soldier Connection selects board
Terrance D. McWilliams has been elected president of the board of directors for Citizen Soldier Connection, which was established in 2006 to connect soldiers and their families with community volunteers to provide a local support network to enhance and enrich the quality of life for military personnel, their families and residents.
McWilliams, who served as command sergeant major for Division West, First Army and Fort Carson, is director of military support at the El Pomar Foundation.
Other officers include Mike Herman, chairman, and Marvin Boyd, treasurer.
Other board members include Don Addy, Ryer Hitchcock, Laura Muir and Mike Pfalmer.
Eleanor Martinez is the organization's executive director.
LPP seeking women's program participants
The Women's Community Leadership Initiative of Leadership Pikes Peak is accepting applications for its 2008 program, which begins Jan. 9 and continues biweekly through June 11.
WCLI is a free program for low- and moderate-income women who have an interest in learning about the community and gaining leadership skills.
Vouchers are available to subsidize child care.
