The featured speakers are Dr. Wayne Boss and James Humes.
Boss is a professor of management at the Leeds School of Business Administration at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is the editor of the Organization Development and Change Newsletter for the Academy of Management and serves on the editorial boards of several journals.
Boss has written four books and more than 100 articles, and currently teaches a seven-course sequence in organization behavior and consultation skills to master's and doctoral students.
He has served as a consultant for the People's Republic of China and specializes in organization development and the management of organizational change.
"He has conducted some of the most important behavioral science research of all time," said Mark McConkie, a professor at UCCS and chairman of the Leadership Conference Steering Committee.
Humes is the author of 30 books and was a speech writer for five U.S. presidents. He served as director of Policy and Plans for the U.S. State Department and has lectured about American history and government throughout the United States, Asia, Latin America and Europe.
Humes has written books about Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower and William Shakespeare, for which he won the Avon Award. He is the former head of the Philadelphia Bar Association and was once the youngest member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
"Humes brings an incredible resume to the platform," McConkie said. "He has an extremely artful sense of drama and portrays characters with passionate personality. He's downright fun to listen to and learn from."
