City of Colorado Springs seeking volunteers for board, committee

Colorado Springs Business Journal,  Feb 16, 2007  by Colorado Springs Business Journal Staff

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking volunteers to serve on the Asset Naming Board and the Investment Advisory Committee.

Both positions are at-large and require only an interest in city affairs.

Asset Naming Board members meet quarterly to review nomination submissions, conduct public hearings and receive resident input related to naming city assets, which can include anything related to Colorado Springs Utilities, Memorial Health System, Colorado Springs Airport and other related organizations.

The City Investment Advisory Committee meets twice a year, or more often if necessary.

Members advise City Council about investment policies and review the city's investment portfolio performance.

Interested volunteers should send a resume and cover letter before Feb. 23 to: City Council, Attention Marti Devine, P.O. Box 1575, Colorado Springs, CO 80901.

For more information, call 385-5453.
