Ali Sahabi, President of SE Corporation, to Be Honored With Chairman's Visionary Award

Ali Sahabi, President of SE Corporation and Developer of Dos Lagos , will be presented with the Chairman's Visionary Award by the Inland Empire Waterkeeper at the "Building Bridges to a Sustainable Future" event Feb. 11 at the Riverside Convention Center.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is scheduled to be the keynote speaker and to recognize the honorees at the fundraiser event for the Riverside Land Conservancy .

"I am very committed to sustainable development," said Sahabi. "To be recognized as an honoree for this award means that my vision of building a better future has been greatly supported and valued."

Sahabi, one of three honorees, is receiving the award for the restoration of Temescal Creek. Other recipients include Marion Ashley, a supervisor for Riverside County's 5th District, and Jane Block, a board member for the Riverside Land Conservancy.

Sahabi is founder and CEO of SE Corporation and developer of Dos Lagos, a 534-acre sustainable mixed-use community that focuses on the environment. He is also the founder of the Green Institute for Village Empowerment (GIVE), which launched the Green Valley Initiative (GVI). Sahabi's vision is to transform the Inland Empire into a leader of sustainability, addressing the imbalance of housing to employment.

The Inland Empire Waterkeeper, established in 2005, is a non-profit water quality organization dedicated to enhancing and protecting the waterways of the Inland Empire through advocacy, education, restoration, and enforcement.
