NWP Services Corporation Introduces Enhanced Financial Transaction Services Package for Multifamily Industry

Market Wire,  February, 2008

NWP Services Corporation (NWP) today announced the launch of its enhanced service offering package consisting of its Resident OneBill, Resident ePay and UtilityPay Manager Services. The launch includes product re-branding, a new pricing strategy and the introduction of new value-added service features.

Resident OneBill is a convergent billing solution that enables property owners to provide a monthly statement to every resident itemizing all charges including rent and displays their total balance due. Resident OneBill also incorporates utility charges as allocated and assessed by NWP's utility cost recovery service, which allows property owners to transfer the cost of utility usage to residents. An enhanced Resident OneBill statement will be launched mid-year 2008 featuring a new streamlined, easy-to-read format and including translation features for Spanish-speaking residents.

Resident ePay, NWP's enhanced resident payment processing service, enables resident payments to be deposited directly and electronically into the property's bank account. Resident ePay includes an online payment feature whereby residents can make their payment through the property's website, with funds transferring automatically into the property's account. The service also incorporates on-site check scanning devices so that check and money order payments received at the property manager's office can be deposited as electronic payments, as well as a feature that allows property managers to input credit card payments via an online terminal. The enhanced Resident ePay solution is supported by CheckFree, now part of Fiserv Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), a leading provider of information technology services to the financial industry. Resident ePay will soon include a "walk-in agent pay" feature which will enable residents to pay their rent with cash at retail locations around the country, eliminating the need to purchase money orders for rent payments.

UtilityPay Manager is an outsourced service for the processing of the invoices sent to property managers by their utility companies. UtilityPay Manager features bill auditing, data mining, trend and benchmark reporting and rate analysis; also included is the review of invoices for individual apartment units in order to identify high usage in vacant apartments and to determine instances of utility theft when residents fail to transfer or maintain utility accounts in their own name. This service has been designed to transfer the administration of utility bill payment to experts and away from property management organizations, enabling them to focus on property management, their core competency. UtilityPay Manager also provides usage and rate monitoring to help further reduce utility costs and produces information to help guide management decision making and facilitate more accurate budgeting. The enhanced UtilityPay Manager program is supported through NWP agreements with Cass Information Systems and The E Group, a division of FirstEnergy Solutions.

According to Mike Radice, president and CEO for NWP, "While each service provides our customers with a proven and highly effective solution to their financial transaction processing needs, when they are now utilized together they can greatly improve operational efficiencies, NOI and cash flow." Radice added, "NWP has also developed a unique pricing formula that drives a customer's costs to the absolute minimum."
