The Board of Directors of the Hyperion Brookfield Total Return Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: HTR) has declared a monthly dividend of $0.065 per share, payable on November 29, 2007 to shareholders of record on November 13, 2007. The ex-dividend date is November 8, 2007. Based on the NYSE closing price of $7.26 on November 1, 2007, the yield of the Fund was 10.74% which was 6.73% higher than the yield of the 5-year U.S. Treasury Note.
