Napster (NASDAQ: NAPS) confirmed today that the company's mobile music subscription service is available to NTT DoCoMo customers through the mobile company's newest line of music-enabled handsets, the FOMA 905i series. The Microsoft® Windows Media®-branded handsets will allow DoCoMo customers to seamlessly download music over-the-air (OTA) directly to their handset or download music and playlists from their PC to their phones.
The FOMA 905i series from DoCoMo, Japan's largest wireless carrier, boasts the latest features in mobile listening technology. Together with the PC user experience of Microsoft Windows® Vista®, DoCoMo and Napster offer customers a seamless digital music experience across the PC and phone. Customers can enjoy managing their music wherever and however they want.
"Napster is proud that its award-winning mobile subscription service is now available to DoCoMo customers through the newest line of mobile handsets," said Brad Duea, president of Napster. "As we expand our relationship with DoCoMo and other carriers throughout the world, we are delighted to bring the Napster experience to music lovers world-wide."
DoCoMo customers who use the new handsets will be able to enjoy the same convenient features currently in place for DoCoMo's Napster subscribers, including integrated billing, subscriptions for ringtones, and unlimited OTA downloads of full-length tracks.
