Thresher Industries Announces Recent Business in Asia and Joint Venture Manufacturing Facility Potential

Market Wire,  August, 2007

Thresher Industries (PINKSHEETS: THRI) announced today that it has been working in Asia to solicit new business as well as open discussions to joint venture a manufacturing facility in Asia.

Robin Carden, Vice President of Business Development, returned recently from Japan and Korea where he met with customers for new business using Talbor material for nuclear shielding and to open dialog for a joint venture manufacturing facility in Japan or Korea. In Japan Mr. Carden met with Hitachi Zosen K.K., Metal One, Showa Co. Ltd and Nippon Steel Corporation. Discussions with Jinheung Corporation in Korea centered on the demand for Talbor in Asia for use in the nuclear and automotive industries. Dialog has been initiated to establish a joint venture facility in Asia to supply the growing need for storage of spent fuel rod from nuclear facilities in Asia. Tom Flessner, President / CEO, Thresher Industries, stated, "With the growth we see in the nuclear industry in Asia, it is imperative that we place ourselves in a position to supply the demand for our material with a manufacturing facility in Asia. It is not of question of 'if' but a question of where and with whom we joint venture. We intend to have a signed Memorandum of Understanding with a potential partner almost immediately followed by a contract to joint venture to manufacture our Talbor material."
