Spaceports, Holodecks and Futuristic Designer Environments by World-Renowned Artist Eileen Borgeson and Canada's Wylie Systems

Market Wire,  July, 2007

Change is the constant as we journey into this 21st century witnessing a renaissance of sophisticated art and technological visions in architecture and lifestyles. What's surfacing is a personal freedom to create and enhance our lives with total immersive artistic environments. After all, these are times where Al Gore makes 'holographic appearances' and space tourists are booking flights around the moon.

Artist Eileen Borgeson , Laser Fabricators, Wylie Systems and Holographer Jeff Allen have teamed to create innovative architectural art products and ultra-modern experiential environments for architectural and interior design applications.

They're now specializing in Architectural Holographics, an elegant and sophisticated Future-Deco Style that integrates Art, Holography and Design. It's the wave of the future where every aspect of a project is analyzed to see how best to integrate art and holographic projections and effects into the living experience of the structures and environments.

Wylie Systems showcased Eileen's geometrically networked "Cybernetic Circuitry" -- with a dichroic glass 'Metrix' center -- at the 2004 Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas, and at the 2005 Architecture Institute of America expo in Vegas, their space queen, 'Virtress' was premiered in terrazzo form by Sherwin Williams' General Polymers. Both pieces are now being considered as major design elements of Jeff Allen's future 'space themed' HoloTheater complex. Within the complex, a Holodeck-like holographic experience called the 'Holozone' is being developed for theme parks and entertainment and training applications for spaceports.

Another planned 'HoloZone' adventure will be themed after the 'Overview Effect,' the life changing and transformative epiphany experienced by astronauts and space travelers alike as they view Earth from space.

In artistically theming the HoloTheater, Eileen considers the aesthetics of the total experience the participants will have, not only inside the 'HoloZone,' but on the surrounding grounds of the HoloTheater itself. Included will be art and sculpture features and accents that will express a 'space travel and exploration' theme and feel. "A 'holodeck/space theme' frees me to approach the visual and spatial experience from a completely fresh, clear perspective. In the post-terrestrial lifestyle of the 21st century, we're moving beyond the traditional anchors and elements of interior design and structure where, artistically, the sky is, literally, the limit!" says Eileen.
