"At one time, I thought the call might be professional soccer. I found my soul is hungry for something else," said Chase Hilgenbrinck, 26, announcing his retirement from professional soccer to become a seminarian for the diocese of Peoria, Ill. Hilgenbrink, a left back, played four years in Chile. and was recently picked up by The Revolution, the U.S. Major League Soccer team for New England.
