Fr. Daniel Rupp, an Iowa native and pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church in Barton, Vt., drove a 1960 John Deere 730 diesel tractor during a tractor-puU contest May 27 at the Orleans County Fairgrounds in Barton. He won second place in the 9,000-pound antique category by hauling a weighted sled for 156 feet 6 inches. He donated his winnings to the parish school.
