Frank Nally

National Catholic Reporter,  Jan 26, 2007

Irish Columban Ft. Frank Nally was held overnight at the Philippines' Ninoy Aquino International Airport Jan. 5, and immigration officials put him on a plane to Hong Kong the next morning, saying he was blacklisted from the country. Nally served nine years as a missionary in the Philippines, mostly in Mindanao, and now campaigns for sustainable development.

He was supposed to be in Manila to launch a report on the impact of foreign mining companies on the Philippine environment and local communities.
