Jay Leno

National Catholic Reporter,  Jan 12, 2007

When second-graders at St. Ignatius School, Portland, Ore., learned that "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno had claimed to have gone more than 30 years without eating vegetables, they were aghast and wrote the letters of protest to the celebrity, according to the diocesan newspaper Catholic Sentinel.

The letters led to the class appearing on the show and Leno munching on broccoli on national television.
