A week after he was deported to the Middle East, the former leader of Ohio's largest mosque, Fawaz Oamra, had not been heard from, his supporters at the Islamic Center of Cleveland said Jan. 10. After insisting for five days that Damra was handed over to the Palestinian Authority, U.S. immigration officials conceded Jan.

8 that Damra was turned over to Israeli authorities. He was convicted in June 2004 of lying on his citizenship application because he did not disclose his links to terrorist organizations.
