It may have been a fan of the "For Brothers Only" column for some time, but the February 2005 message, "Desperate Homeboys," written by Kevin Chappell, was a huge infusion of enormous proportion to my confidence in young Black men.
For a 60+-year-old woman who is often left (by the media) to wonder what is happening to our young men, I personally appreciated this positive focus.
