Ebony Fashion Fair: chairpersons

Ebony,  Sept, 2006

This is the 49th spectacular year that the Ebony Fashion Fair will showcase the elegance and glamor that have elevated it to the level of being the world's premier traveling fashion show. That celebrated tradition continues when the show makes this year's elegant debut in Tinley Park, Ill., on September 6, exhibiting a breathtaking collection that will fascinate onlookers.

As has been the case in previous years, the award-winning show again will feature a unique display of cutting-edge attire for women and men. This year's theme is "Stylishly Hot," and the tour will include stops in nearly 180 cities by the time it ends on May 20 in Bermuda.

The colorful and stylish collection of fashion featured in the much-talked-about show includes multiple designs that were selected by the show's producer, Mrs. Eunice W. Johnson, widow of EBONY Founder John H. Johnson. Included among the designs are those of internationally famous fashion designers, some of whom are African-Americans. The show also highlights several items from the collections of the top fashion houses in the U.S. and Europe.

The official sponsors of the 49th Annual Ebony Fashion Fair 2006/2007,"Stylishly Hot," are EBONY magazine, American Airlines, Ford Motor Co., Fashion Fair Cosmetics, SoftSheen-Carson and Jet magazine.
