Hair care for sisters
Ebony, Sept, 2006 by Johnny Wright
Q: Help! I am a 43-year-old woman, and for the last year and a half I have been slowly losing my hair through breakage and shedding. I have been getting regular hair care from a licensed beautician, but I am still losing my hair. My beautician tells me it is the stress that I am under. I've even been told that it's the rinse that I have been using for more than four years to hide the gray. Any ideas? I need help!

A: Help, from SoftSheen-Carson is here! It is possible that the rinse you are using may not be appropriate for your hair. Most rinses are very drying to the hair and will cause breakage, especially over a long period of time. The new Dark & Lovely Permanent Hair Color has innovative Moisture Seal Technology and is created to add and lock in moisture and shine for silky smooth hair. For stronger hair, I also recommend that you try the new Optimum Care Anti-Breakage Therapy maintenance line. Stress most definitely can contribute to breakage and shedding. Relax, relate, release and let go of the stress! It wreaks havoc on your skin and your hair. Heredity can be a contributing factor as well. Most women start to see their hair thinning as the years go by. See a dermatologist for more advice.
