Jackie Robinson, the first Black player in Major League Baseball in the modern era, entered the Brooklyn Dodgers clubhouse after an exhibition game as a Montreal Royal and exited as a Dodger on April 10, 1947. This month represents the 60th anniversary of the historic event. Robinson, wearing uniform number 42, played his first Major League game on April 15, 1947, against the Boston Braves at Ebbets Field.
The game, which resulted in a 5-3 victory for the Dodgers, was attended by 25,000 fans.
