Cheryl Monroe

Cheryl Monroe is vice president of minority supplier and vendor development for Macy's East in New York. Macy's is the largest retail brand of Federated Department Stores. Before assuming her new position, Monroe was vice president-store manager for Macy's in Wheaton, Md. She has held a variety of positions since joining Macy's in 1987.

In 1993, she joined Hecht's as a divisional sales manager for Wheaton, but returned to Macy's as regional merchandise manager for the Baltimore-Washington area in 2001. Monroe sits on several boards, including the Board of New York and New Jersey City Councils. She is a member of the Macy's East Diversity Council and is involved with Macy's East Partners in Time, a community outreach program. She attended Towson University in Maryland. She and her husband have two children.
