BILLY PRESTON, the singer, songwriter and keyboardist who was often called "the fifth Beatle" because of his frequent playing sessions with the group, was joined by Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones during a 1975 concert. Preston, known for his songs "Nothing From Nothing," "Out Of Space" and "Will It Go Round In Circles," was also the co-writer of the Joe Cocker ballad "You Are So Beautiful." The Grammy Award-winner, who also played with Ray Charles and Little Richard, died in June as a result of chronic kidney failure.
