With a sultry sound and soulful lyrics, Nikkole has been blazing the airwaves with her sophomore project, A Girl Like Me (SE Entertainment Records). The singer and songwriter has worked with incredible music talents such as Baby-face, the Commodores and Patrice Rushen, among others. For her first single, "It's Too Late," Nikkole had the pleasure of teaming up with the Emotions, a group she has admired since childhood.
The song was penned by Nikkole, along with her brother, Wallace Hall, and producer Lloyd Tolbert, and the Emotions provided background vocals. Her follow-up single, "Gon" Bounce," deals with a relationship that has come to an end, while "I Think of You" and "Amazing" take listeners into the heart and soul of a person truly in love. Old school blended with a contemporary pop/urban sound is what listeners can delight themselves in when listening to the enchanting vocals of Nikkole.
