Michon Ellis is the director of global corporate communications for the Mc Donald's Corporation. He is responsible for developing communications strategies and programming to promote the company's image and business initiatives globally. Prior to his promotion, Ellis was a senior manager in McDonald's U.S. marketing communications department, where he led national marketing campaigns to support core-menu product promotions, and built corporate alliances and sponsorships geared toward young adult consumers. With more than 10 years of experience in marketing communications, Ellis has developed strategies and directed national marketing and public relations campaigns for several companies, including Schering-Plough Corp., Coca-Cola Co., Kraft Foods, Inc., Lions Clubs International and Wendy's International, Inc. Ellis received a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Radiah, and their two children.

JULIA M. BROWN

VP OF CORPORATE PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

Julia M. Brown is vice president of corporate procurement and contract manufacturing at the Clorox Co. in Oakland, Calif. She is among the first African-American women to serve as chief procurement officer at a Fortune 500 company. Brown is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the company worldwide. "This is an exciting and challenging role with the opportunity to make a big difference, especially given the unprecedented high commodity-priced environment facing many companies over the past 12 to 18 months," Brown says. Prior to arriving at Clorox in 2005, she worked in the procurement organizations of several major companies, including Procter & Gamble, Diageo and Gillette. Outside of work, she is passionate about mentoring minority children, especially on the importance of education. She is a member of the San Francisco/Greater Bay Area Junior Achievement Board of Directors. Brown received an honors bachelor's degree in commerce from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. She is single and resides in Oakland. The Clorox Co. is a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer products, with fiscal year 2005 revenues totaling $4.4 billion.

WANDA Y. DUNHAM

CHIEF OF THE METROPOLITAN

ATLANTA RAPID TRANSIT AUTHORITY POLICE

DEPARTMENT (MARTA)

Wanda Y. Dunham is the chief of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Police Department (MARTA), She is the first African-American and first female chief in the history of the authority. Dunham, who had served as interim chief since last year, was selected after a rigorous national search, which was spearheaded by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police. With 19 years of service under her belt, Chief Dunham was the first female member of the department to achieve the rank of captain, major and assistant chief. She is an active member of the region's law enforcement community, serving as chairman of Atlanta Metropol and as a member of the High Intensity Drug Task Force Association. Chief Dunham received a master's degree from Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga., and a bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala. Outside of work, she is an active volunteer with the United Way, Hands on Atlanta and Take Your Daughter to Work Day. She is a certified foster parent. She and her husband, Dwight, have a 10-year-old son, Jordan, and reside in Covington, Ga.
