Female pilots

Thank you so much for the article, "Flying High With Female Pilots" (April 2006). It thrilled my heart to see those women seated in the cockpit of those airplanes. When I was younger, I had a desire to become an airplane pilot. There was a flying school one mile from the place where I work, and I had signed up for lessons (with all the books and gear). Due to unfortunate circumstances, the job closed down.

I am nearing retirement and this article has inspired me to re-think my desire to fly an airplane, just for recreational purposes. So, if I continue to be healthy, I might just take up those flying lessons after I retire. My philosophy is that as long as you are healthy, age does not matter. Whatever your heart desires, do it!
