Donnie McClurkin

I just finished reading your latest issue of Ebony, and I want to say thank you much to Shirley Henderson for her wonderful article, "The Gospel According to Donnie McClurkin" (Oct. 2005). I really enjoyed the article. I love Donnie McClurkin! He is truly a man of God! And if anyone doesn't believe it, just listen to him preach, pray or sing. As long as Mr. McClurkin keeps God No. 1 in his life, he can expect great things to keep happening to him. I know that I am not alone when I say Donnie McClurkin should keep singing and spreading the gospel.

I would also like to take this time to say thank you for the tribute to the late John H. Johnson. He was a great role model to all mankind. May his light keep shining forever.

As one of his biggest fans, I was elated to read the wonderful article on Donnie McClurkin. Donnie's uplifting and soul-stirring music has been an inspiration to me and has helped get me through some of the roughest times in my life. If I'm ever in the Long Island area, I'll be sure to visit his church.

Donnie, you are a true man of God. May the Lord continue to pour out His blessings upon you.
