The New Black Father

I read the article, "The New Black Father" (June 2007), and was happy to see an article that embraced Black fathers. The role of dad is nothing new to me. I have even tried to be a role model for those students I teach, some who do not have dads in their lives. The responsibility of being a dad is great, but once the decision is made, there is a lifetime of joys along with some pains.
Thank you for showing a positive side of parenthood.
