Woman's dating guide

I am a 19-year-old college sophomore, and I was extremely disappointed by the article, "College Woman's Guide to Dating" (Sept. 2006). It states that African-American women are dealing with dating issues in a more progressive environment, but then goes on to discuss same-race dating. I was expecting this magazine to be more open-minded on this subject. Dating should have nothing to do with race and social expectations, only a special connection you feel with another person.
