In a 1969 photograph, DIANA ROSS, who is generally credited with discovering the JACKSON 5, chats with the group whose January 1970 song, "I Want You Back," was the first of four consecutive No. 1 hits in a nine-month period. It was followed by "ABC" (April 1970), "The Love You Save" (June 1970) and "I'll Be There" (October 1970).
In the words of Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records, the Jackson 5 were "the last big stars to come rolling off my assembly line."
