Denzel, Halle & Jamie

Congratulations on 60 memorable years of excellence, and what a fantastic photograph of Denzel, Halle and Jamie, "Denzel, Halle & Jamie Celebrate 60 Historic Years" (Nov. 2005), that appears on the cover of the 60th anniversary issue.

I couldn't believe it when I saw three of my favorite actors, who happen to be three of the four Black people who have won Academy Awards for Best Actor, on the cover. Of course, Sidney Poitier was the first Black person to win the Best Actor award for his performance in Lilies of the Field.

Thank you, EBONY, for being our light for 60 years, and thanks to Denzel, Halle and Jamie for being a part of this historic issue.

EBONY, please continue to do the great job you have done for the past 60 years. Congratulations!
