I really did appreciate your captivating article, "Life After A Disaster: A Single Father's Moving Story" (July 2003), that melted my heart. One can only have great admiration for a man such as this one who stepped up to the plate, realizing his responsibility and duty to his beautiful son!
As I read this article, my vision became blurry from trying to hold back the tears, as I realized how much this man loves his wife by the way he responds to his son! He truly exemplifies what a real man and real dad are supposed to be. Although forced into the "Mr. Mom" role by that unforgettable and horrific moment in time, Andrew Bass is truly a role model!
After reading about Bass, it made me realize that there are some "good" men still around, and I hope that the men who can't relate will learn from this type of gentleman.
