Omega-3 update

Better Nutrition,  July, 2004

> After a review of previous studies, a US agency has determined that omega-3-rich fish oil can help reduce heart attacks, as well as reduce the overall risk of death, among people who have heart disease. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality found that although cholesterol readings are not affected, fish oil does lower levels of triglycerides--blood fats associated with heart disease.
