Kruch and much

Better Nutrition,  Sept, 2007

IF YOU ARE a celiac and think your days of nibbling on crackers are over, think again. Meet MR. KRISPERS BAKED RICE KRISPS. These crunchy, disk-shaped, gluten-free crackers come in four flavors (Sour Cream & Onion, Barbecue, Nacho, and Sea Salt & Pepper). With a nutritious base of brown rice and 110 to 120 calories per serving, the light and tangy crackers are a healthful snack option. Get creative with these crackers: Pair them with cheese or dunk in hummus or other gluten-free dips.

Mr. Krispers also make an excellent substitute for breadcrumbs in recipes, as some culinary students recently proved. At the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness' Cooking Spree in New York, culinary arts students were asked to create celiac-approved meals that anyone could make. One of the winning recipes was Tortilla Crusted Free Range Chicken, featuring Mr. Krispers Nacho Baked Rice Krisps. To get a copy of this and other recipes that feature the crackers, such as Savory Stuffed Mushrooms and Taco Slaw Salad, visit the Mr. Krispers Web site at http://68.78.163.198/.
